What You Need To Know Before You Book Your Next Trip Abroad
It’s not only visa restrictions you need to be aware of in the future
Until recently all you needed to worry about when travelling abroad were visa restrictions. Is your passport still valid, would you need a visa? Not sure, then quickly contact a visa agency and find out. Oh and don’t forget your ESTA when travelling to the States and Canada. Yes, it took us a while to get used to it post 9/11 but we got the hang of it.
Now there is a new kid in town. COVID-19. And everything is going to be different.
Visa worries will be a thing of the past. Sure you will still need visas but more importantly you will now have to comply with health check requirements. Every country will impose more or less restrictive requirements for entering their territory. Have you been in Europe in the last two weeks before entering the US? Then don’t go, you will not be allowed to enter. Want to go to Hong Kong? Prepare to spend the next two weeks in self isolation. The list is endless and yes, it will change but when and how is something nobody will be prepared to answer.
As a TMC we are constantly looking for information especially as we are now preparing to restart business with our clients. While we expect rules and regulations to change frequently we found a source worthwhile sharing with you:
IATA have published a country by country list of health requirements for entry and we encourage you to make use of it as much as possible, it will be one of the most reliable sources we think:

One day checking this information will have also become be a standard procedure and maybe future passports will even store our health information. Or we will have ways to check our vitals before checking in and transferring them to the airlines together with passport and ESTA information. It is all just a click away. But until then check the requirements yourself and make sure you are compliant !
Stay safe !
